Craig is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and has an Engineering and Construction Management background with over 20 years of both new build and renovation experience from sizeable, private residences to significant development projects throughout the United Kingdom and the Caribbean.
Craig has represented both contractor and client on several projects and is recognised industry wide as being able to successfully lead highly technical and complex projects to its desired outcome, whilst maintaining superior client/contractor relations and best in class service time and time again. Craig has a keen eye for detail and embraces new technologies, remaining hands on with his management approach.
Degree certified in Civil Engineering, Craig is a professional builder who possesses deep and detailed knowledge in the areas of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement and project management. As Co-Founder and Director, Craig brings a holistic and dynamic perspective to the emcs team.
Murray studied Civil Engineering at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, earning a BEng (Hons) degree, then a MSc in Construction Management from the University of Dundee. Upon leaving university Murray started his ‘real education’ as a site engineer working for a large contractor in deepest, darkest Glasgow before being head-hunted for his first overseas posting towork on the construction of the prestigious Hilton Hotel, Barbados.
For several years through to 2014, Murray worked exclusively for Royal Westmoreland, an exclusive five-star residential & golfing resort on the west coast of Barbados, as their Construction Project Manager. Murray was responsible for the delivery of civil works and infrastructure projects to a substantial number of ultra-luxurious condominiums and high-end golf course villas for the rich & famous.
Murray joined emcs in 2015 as Contracts Manger and is also the Senior Project Manager leading emcs’ operations at Moskito Island.
Murray has quickly become recognised as a impressive leader with a proven ability to simplify complex issues with ease.
Adam joined emcs in 2015 and, as Commercial Director, is tasked with managing emcs’ commercial operations. With a background in asset management, banking, financial & transaction advisory, hedge funds, private equity and property development, Adam’s practical experience has seen him gain invaluable knowledge in global financial markets from Europe to the Americas and Asia. Adam is involved with all financial and commercial aspects of emcs’ project portfolio and is an invaluable member of emcs’ management group.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Adam has a unique skill set and wealth of experience in operational and financial management. Through his previous roles with two of the ‘Big Four’ global accounting and financial advisory firms, Adam has been intrinsically involved with the acquisition, divestment and management of substantial construction and property development projects throughout the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Jack possess over eleven years of construction experience throughout the USA, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. Jack has rapidly evolved from an all round finishes contractor to a successful and established Project Manager, completing a succession of opulent residences on time and under budget.
Jack has been with emcs since inception and has been an instrumental figure in developing our unrivaled personal service to both the clients, their design team and other advisors.
Rupert has over twenty years’ experience in the construction industry and, having obtained a degree in Project Management (BSc), went on to specialise in large, bespoke residential projects in the south-east of England.
Rupert joined emcs in 2013 as a Project Manager and has been an integral member of the team ever since, bringing with him significant experience in client liaison, workforce management, scheduling and quality control. With a motivated and practical approach to construction, Rupert consistently exceeds project deliverables and maintains an unwavering commitment to emcs’ high standards for our clients.
Devin a is highly regarded member of the emcs team and was first introduced to the Caribbean as a live aboard cruiser. After a ten-year hiatus, he returned to the British Virgin Islands with some twenty years of luxury, custom, residential building experience.
Starting out as a Carpenter in the industry, Devin soon progressed to overseeing projects in all phases of construction, from foundation works through to luxury finishes. His deep building knowledge and experience has seen him thrive and Devin is recognised by clients as always willing to go above and beyond to ensure total satisfaction. As Project Manager, Devin is always ready to assist as and when needed and is the embodiment of the emcs work ethic.
With over thirty-five years in the construction industry, Ray has an immeasurable level of practical experience that is vital to the emcs team. Ray earned his stripes by working his way up through the ranks from Site Mason to Project Manager on high-end, residential projects.
Ray’s has an intimate knowledge of an array of different construction processes and deep understanding of what it takes to achieve the required project deliverables. His tireless work ethic and warm demeanor enables him to efficiently manage large site teams with ease and ensure all are working towards the successful completion of project targets.
Mark is an emcs Project Manager and is also a qualified carpenter and building teacher with over 32 years’ experience in the construction industry. Mark has worked on high-end projects throughout Australia, Asia and the Middle East including casinos, hotels, luxury villas, restaurants and high rises. Mark has a keen eye for detail and prides himself on quality finishes, meticulous finishes and full project completion all geared towards exceeding clients’ expectations.
Luke is a Project Manager with emcs. Previously Luke acted as Legal Counsel in the Legal Department and the Appeal Proceedings of the Supreme Chamber of Control (SCC) in Poland. During this time Luke provided legal opinions, legal service procedures for the award of public contracts, arbitrated disputes between the SCC and controlled entities, organizing and legal oversight of public procurement. Prior to this Luke was an auditor in the SCC having provided audit and checks of state bodies, local governments, and commercial companies with state interests and public contracts including construction investments such as the Rzeszów–Jasionka Airport International Airport (Poland) and PGE Narodowy (National Stadium) (Poland).
Jorge is our Structural Architectural Field Manager with over 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, mainly working with formwork and reinforced concrete structures. Jorge previously worked on the Park Hyatt (St Kitts) where is oversaw the reinforcement concrete structure erection throughout the project. Jorge holds an MBA in architecture and is oriented to achieve exceptional results and exceed targets. Jorge is experienced in dealing with project coordination, delivering superior work quality and has good relations with clients and colleagues.
Gordon joined emcs as our Electrical Supervisor but in no time, his quick thinking, excellent work ethic and positive, can-do attitude led him to take on multiple MEP roles to help spearhead our Moskito Island operations. Gordon has worked on significant commercial projects in Sydney (Australia) including hospitals, high-rise apartments and hotels where he worked as the electrical foreman. Gordon previously owned and operated a contracting business in the energy saving and energy monitoring sector. Gordon is known for running an efficient, coherent site and takes pride in seeing a job completed successfully and to the highest standard.
Roger comes from an engineering background having graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (MEng) and initially working for a major contractor across the south east of England. After working his way up from site engineer on the Marriott Hotel project set in the heart of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Roger has proven his ability as a sound manager in the most challenging of conditions. Roger’s technical understanding of construction and engineering principles paired with his work ethic make him a trusted project manager within the emcs team.
Darren is a Project Manager with emcs and has over 30 years’ experience in construction. Darren has progressed from a carpentry & joinery trade background into senior construction/project management and has a vast knowledge of virtually all aspects of construction. Darren has managed projects ranging from $1-35 million including costs, programming, quality and time; delivering these projects ahead of time and under budget. Darren has worked on a large number of highly diverse projects throughout the UK such as residential, hotels, leisure/sport centers, shopping malls, schools/colleges; and high end commercial projects.
Jamie joined emcs in early 2018 as a Quantity Surveyor, having earned a 1st Class BSc Honours Degree in Edinburgh, he has gone on to amass a varied portfolio of experience as a quantity surveyor over his 7 year career, starting at a main contractor in Edinburgh which specialized in large scale projects in the public and private sector, before moving into nuclear power. At emcs Jamie is mainly focused on the Moskito Island projects, ensuring the running of commercial elements and contract practice on site is maintained.
Alan is a Project Manager with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry and holds multiple diplomas in construction supervision, building and civil engineering and senior construction management. Alan has extensive experience in all construction fields having initially qualified as a carpenter and then working his way up through the ranks to work on multi-million dollar projects throughout the UK, specifically London, alongside some of the world’s most recognized and leading design teams. Alan brings an energetic and pragmatic approach to his work and creates an inclusive working environment that enables his project team to thrive.
Mia is a certified Quantity Surveyor having spent the past 6 years working for contractors, as well as a Cost Consultant in Dubai for 4 years. Mia is also a Civil Engineer in the Philippines where she attained her broader knowledge and understanding in the real play of the construction industry. From infrastructure, high-rise buildings, facilities management and interior fit-outs in the vast luxurious life in the desert, Mia continued her QS journey in the Caribbean and joined emcs in August 2018. Mia undertakes all pre and post contract works, including change management, for all emcs projects.
Gerome joined emcs in August 2018 as a Finishes Project Manager and is a licensed Civil Engineer in the Philippines. Having been reared and exposed to the broad and complex world of construction in the Middle East for over 10 years, Gerome has been a Client Project Engineer managing all new and renovation projects for a diverse range of stores which included extensive travel to many of the Gulf countries. Gerome’s experience ranges from infrastructures, high-rise buildings, and interior fit-outs. Gerome has also worked as Construction Manager for a theming company managing a sizeable team on a popular waterpark project.
